Although the small colony of Silver-studded Blue (Plebeius argus) at Broadmoor Bottom had a surprisingly good year, it is too small be viable long term.

It is not known how the main colony on the MOD site did, as access is very difficult, so the current focus is on a possible re-introduction at Greenham Common.

To this end the emphasis has been at the Greenham Common site. 2008 has seen a number of meetings and an initial site suitability survey, including surveys of potential symbiotic ant species. 2009 will see more ant surveys and completion of paperwork, plus a site meeting for BC members from other counties with a track record of successful re-introductions, leading to possible re-introduction in 2010.
