White Admirals were seen flying in 35 different locations in Bucks, Berks and Oxfordshire during 2009 (2008 – 22), the main sites being Bernwood, Sheephouse Wood, Black Park and Waterperry Wood. The first sighting was on the 16th June and the last on the 2nd August (2008 – 27th July).

There were five occasions from the end of June to the middle of July when daily sightings in excess of 10 specimens were recorded. There were 102 individual sightings reported (2008 – 66) and my thanks are extended to the 36 members (2008 – 19) responsible for these invaluable recordings.
