It resulted in the male being rejected and taking flight. However the female went on to subsequently lay 9+ eggs on one of my Buckthorn plants, presumably having been previously mated. I managed to extract a still-photo from the video showing the upperwings of the male. Photo quality not great due to windy conditions.
