A Local Nature Reserve 2½ miles southeast of central Newbury on former Ministry of Defence land now managed by BBOWT. A very large site, previously a military airfield, which has restored to its original status as heathland. Car park beside the old control tower at SU499652 (off Bury's Bank Road). A car park donation of £3 is requested.
Accessibility: Good, firm, level paths. In dry weather many grass areas accessible.
