Holtspur Bottom Butterfly Reserve
How to find the reserve
- Turn into Holtspur Top Lane from the roundabout on the A40 between Beaconsfield and High Wycombe.
- Continue for about a mile and, at the bottom of the hill, turn sharp left into Riding Lane.
- Riding Lane is a single-track road with only limited passing places.
- The reserve is half a mile along the lane, on the left, shortly after Ridings Farm.
- The vehicle gate to the reserve is normally locked, unless there is an event taking place. Park under the railway bridge, and access the reserve through the pedestrian gate.
- The alternative is to park in Cherry Tree Lane and walk to the reserve along the footpath.
